I don’t know if you’re like me, but I used to get giddy at the thought of lying out my new back to school outfit and picking out fresh notebooks for the first day of school (what can I say, I’m a dork!). I nearly started skipping down the aisles at a recent trip to Target when I saw the school supplies getting pulled out of boxes and put onto shelves.
I don’t have much of a reason to buy a new Fall wardrobe, or stock up on black and white marble composition notebooks anymore, so I thought it would be fun to compile a grown-up ‘back to school’ list to humor my cravings for the annual end of August shopping spree.
Here are my picks:
Some Book City Jackets to protect my ‘textbooks’ (or to hide my latest embarrassing chick-lit novel on the subway).
A vintage pink typewriter for all of those late-night paper writing sessions.
A hot pink leather-bound thesaurus from SeeJaneWork for all of those times I’m struggling for the right synonym.
A Kate Spade pencil case to round up my writing tools and lip gloss in my bottomless tote. (I’m a sucker for this one because it says Kate!)
And a back to school list would not be complete without some freshly-sharpened #2 pencils, I can smell them now, yum!
I had so much fun compiling my own list, I couldn’t stop there. So, I asked a few of my favorite bloggers to share what they’d put on their back to school list. I’ll be posting them this week so stay tuned!

I love your pics! I could “back-to-school” shop every month if possible, ha!
