Gaga for Gossip.

My brain might not be able to handle these two worlds colliding tonight… Gaga on Gossip Girl? Sensory overload. I imagine they’d have a lot to talk about, like tea cups, taking over the world, trends in hair accessories…  Speaking of trends in hair accessories, check out this collection of headbands that’s been worn by Blair’s minions on [...]

Mad about plaid.

I expressed my extreme frustration awhile back that some of my decorating magazines were arriving in the mail long after I’d seen all of the pictures online and scanned the covers while waiting in line at the supermarket.  But, problem solved! A friend of mine treated me to an online subscription to Elle Decor from Zinio [...]

Right on target.

More high-end designers are lined up to dress the masses with Target’s affordable collections; Rodarte’s line is hitting stores on December 20th, and John Paul Gaultier’s line is coming out in March. The recessionista in me is glowing, especially after seeing some sneak peaks of the Rodarte line. I’m prepared to stake out my local [...]

Bold by the sea.

I thought my yellow and gray phase would start to fizzle out eventually, but I think I just recharged it with the Coastal Living 2009 Idea House. This is a much bolder take on the yellow and gray combo I picked for my bedroom, but I love it… especially for a coastal home where the [...]

This is, bananas.

Deep sigh, news far worse for me than another shelter mag closing… Taylor Jacobson has left Rachel Zoe Inc. This might be great for Taylor news, who has been threatening to leave in just about every scene of the Rachel Zoe Project, but it’s not great news for me, she was my favorite! I know [...]

Thom takes a chill.

My design crush on Thom Filicia, if this is even possible, just grew a little bigger. He did a Designer Visions showhouse for House Beautiful and was asked to base his design on a movie. Well, as the astrological design stars aligned, Thom picked The Big Chill – which just happens to be one of [...]

No shelter from the storm.

Dear Recession, stop snatching up my shelter magazines, I’m going to have to start reading the *GASP* newspaper if you shut one more down! RIP Metropolitan Home. It looks like this upscale shelter mag couldn’t make the numbers and is going to be closing its doors. The good news is their website, pointclickhome, was shared with Elle [...]

A deadly (but fashionable) combination.

A Jimmy Choo and H&M collaboration? This is the perfect storm of high fashion meets street fashion! The collection launches on November 14th in H&M stores. It’s already getting so much buzz that H&M stores are allotting bracelets for the first 160 customers that show in line to maintain the influx of shoppers that want [...]

Me-Ow!

Mrs Obama was looking ferocious in her designer Halloween duds last week. I think she is the only First Lady in recent memory that can pull off kitten ears with such grace! She looked so ferocious in fact, she inspired me to click purchase on my Forever21 basket. Everyone could use a little animal print in their [...]

Triple threat.

Triple the cocktails, triple the fun! I’m totally amazed that A) this exists, and B) someone  didn’t think of this sooner. What a helpful tool for pre-mixing multiple signature cocktails for a holiday party. My old carafe method seems a little less innovative now! Trio Beverage Dispenser via Z Gallerie
