Color inside the lines.

Stenciling has such bad connotations of early 90′s floral borders and sponging techniques. But I’m enthralled by this new book that came out, Stencil 101 Décor and ready to give stencils another chance.

If anything is cheap and temporary, it’s paint. I love the look of wallpaper, but have you ever tried to remove wallpaper? It’s hell on earth. These patterns are an awesome alternative to get the same effect.

I’m loving the look of this use of stencil over the fireplace from Isabella and Max Rooms:

great examples of painted-stenciled “wallpaper”!!! I watched a horrific episode of Color Splash recently where David Bromfeild stenciled some really awfull faux wallpaper. I like the second one alot – looks like real wallpaper.

Think they have any Damask in there??? lol.
