We have been without TV for 6 months, entirely by choice. I'm in grad school, and my partner works in technology. In the beginning we had a lot of spare time, but now it seems like we don't anymore. We started making pasta from scratch, making our own crackers, playing scrabble after dinner, watching movies (and trailers on new release tuesdays on apple.com/trailers) and playing with our cats. We listen to vinyl records during dinner time instead of TV, and we keep meaning to listen to This American Life podcasts after dinner... but we seem too busy to remember. Good luck filling your time, you might start to love it!
