Sunday brunch.

I had a delicious brunch with my girlfriends to cap off a relaxing fall weekend. This was a bowl of baked heaven: Brunch was topped off with some thrifting at the SOWA market: Lots of Mad-Men-esque glassware, I’m kicking myself for not scooping these up: And ton’s of retro-chic: This one was a winner: Also, [...]

Sisterly love.

My fabulous sister made me this super-fun, funky necklace and gave it to me when she was visiting last weekend…aren’t I a lucky gal? The best part? It cost her under $2 to make. Check out her post about it here.

Wedding decorations.

A few weeks ago I gave you a sneak peek at some decorations I was making for my friends’ wedding, and I’m happy to finally share the results. I used some cake rounds, a little paint, and some ribbon to trim the edges to make the table numbers, and they were a nice pop of [...]

Vanity week.

Check out my DIY Jewelry Armoire featured today over on Sweetie Pie Pumpkin Noodle‘s Vanity series, and be sure to check out all of the other great posts featuring blogger’s vanities this week!

Glamorous Ghouls.

I’m back to thinking about Halloween decorations, Christmas will just have to wait its turn. What made me change my mind? The skull candles from D.L. & Co on Gilt today. If it’s possible for Halloween decorations to look glamorous — these are them. I think the metallic ones could even stick around after the holiday for decor that has a [...]

Brunch.

Flour Bakery sticky buns were the highlight of Sunday brunch — I’d like to buy their cookbook and try to make them myself, but I’m not sure I can be trusted with that information — I may become a stickybunaterian. Image via  Serious Eats (I ate mine too fast to take a picture)

Good on paper.

My school supply obsession continues this week upon finding adorable make-up bags on Etsy that are stitched to look like loose-leaf paper. I want to try to make this myself, some linen and a little blue and red thread? I think it could work!

Never too early for Christmas.

I know I was just blogging about Halloween decorations two days ago, but I’m of the firm belief that it’s never too early to start thinking about Christmas (in fact, I’ve already done some of my Christmas shopping). So I have to bring to your attention the Kate Spade holiday cards from Crane — they’re [...]

Take note.

It’s official. This is the most adorable thing you will see all day. The school-supply-nerd in me is, well, totally geeking out over this loose-leaf tee from Artware Editions. I want to buy one and then write a little love note in sharpie marker on the lines. Or perhaps practice a little long division?

October resolution.

My October resolution for next year: I will be more prepared, and decorate my apartment for Halloween with cute vintage inspired pieces like this one from etsy.
