Oscar Red Carpet Recap.

Last night I dubbed Cate Blanchett best-dressed — though I’m sure many people won’t “get it.” I’m already imagining the bib jokes Joan Rivers is writing for Fashion Police. There were lots of other fabulous dresses on the red carpet though besides Cate’s — like this stunner worn my Camila Alves. I love the simple cut, and how dramatic it looks at the same time.

Red was a big trend on the red carpet. I thought Sandra Bullock pulled it off the best, Penelope Cruz looked pretty rocking for just having a baby, and Jennifer Lawrence’s dress fit like a glove — though I wish she had accessorized more!

Reese Witherspoon wins best hair in my book — that giant Barbie ponytail was so flirty and fun. Her dress though was very reminiscent of Julia Roberts’ when she won her Oscar.

Hailee Steinfeld’s dress was a great pick for her age range — I’m glad she went with something youthful. And Amy Adam’s L’Wren Scott dress was gorgeous, it had great texture for photographs, though I think she should have pulled her hair back.

Rachel Zoe had her hands full with all of Anne Hathaway’s costume changes. I thought her Lanvin suit was the most succesful look — with that gold fringe stunner as a close second.

I went through some after-party photos from Vanity Fair and had to share this look from Lea Michele — she looks so grown up!

So what do you think? Who was best dressed? Who was worst? I’d love to hear your thoughts!

My fav was Mila Kunis – plus she had Oscar worthy hair. Natalie Portman looked 100x better than she has all awards season. I thought their were giant flubs last night including Nicole Kidman, ick.

All of Anne’s looks were good, but I agree, that Lanvin suit is awesome! I also love the 70s one shoulder beaded, as well as the white Givenchy. What I wanna know is — how did they make her hair look so perfect with minutes to spare between looks???? From wavy to straight to beachy to updo…crazy!
