It’s been kind of a quiet week around here, which is rare but also welcomed. It gave me a bit of time to do some planning for spring, to take a beat and look for some fresh inspiration, and of course spend lots of playtime with Jane (she just got into coloring with crayons and it’s making me SO happy). It was also the perfect week for that quiet, because it’s been a blustery, snowy, winter wonderland in these parts. Spring better get its act together and make a debut next week, but in the meantime feel free to hibernate with a few links and posts below! Easter Preparations. I wasn’t going to do much in the way of an Easter basket for Jane, because she’s still a little young to get what’s going on. But then I saw the cutest bunny ears at Target, and she’s been wearing them around the house non-stop, holding an Easter egg she got at our local farm. Even if she doesn’t totally understand what’s going on, it’s sure fun for us to see her excitement around any type of celebration. So I might get her a few little treats, like this adorable stuffed bunny I spotted online, an Easter book (she loves Curious George) and a spring vegetable play-food set from the Magnolia Collection at Target (they have a really cute kids gardening set too!).

Travel Shopping. When we booked our trip to London for the spring, we got a great deal on the flights because we chose an economy fare that didn’t allow for checked bags. So, we have to be smart about how we pack for the trip and get everything into carry-on suitcases. This, of course, has sent me into a shopping-frenzy where I’m ordering gazillions of new things online to create the perfect outfits. The most expensive part of traveling with me is definitely the money I spent leading up to the trip on new clothes, ah! My mailman and I are very close, as dozens of adorable walking shoes, spring tops, and preppy jewelry has arrived on my doorstep this week. I’ll share my full packing list when the trip gets closer with everything I keep!

On The Blog. It’s been all about food and home on the blog in the past few weeks! I’ve shared a few new recipes like my easy Chicken Marsala Pasta Bake (great for weeknight dinners or entertaining), Peach and Prosciutto Toasts that are now a constant craving of mine, and a healthier, savory spin on waffles made out of shredded zucchini! On the home front, I shared two makeovers of spaces around our house. The first was an overhaul of our pantry (that also acts as my prop closet), full of lots of ideas for storing party supplies, baking tools, and other kitchen items. The other big reveal was of our living room makeover – you do not want to miss these before and after photos! It was so fun to get to share this project because it’s my favorite room in our house now that it’s finished; go check it out!
