We have been packing our weekends with all sorts of fun summertime activities lately. Last weekend we partnered with Fidelity and MEFA to attend The WGBH Fun Fest and visit the U.Fund Dreams Tour! We are big WGBH fans at our house so it was a blast. Given Jane’s affinity for a lot of the WGBH kids shows, I was so excited to see her interact with the life-sized characters. She was really interested in them, and trying to figure out how her favorite TV characters were there in person! There were also tons of ice cream brands that popped up and we tried a flavor at just about every tent at the event – Jane is ice cream obsessed (and so is her mom!).We explored the festival, checked out the music tent for some kid tunes, played games and visited the U.Fund Dreams Tourbooth. I love a good photo booth, so I dragged Jane and my husband into the one in the U.Fund Dreams Tourbooth – the picture is perfectly imperfect – ha! Jane was very focused on the photo booth props. There was also a giant coloring wall that the kids could add to, Jane could have stayed there all day to keep working on her “colors” as she calls them. While the kids colored, parents could take a moment to learn a little bit more about paying and saving for college and MEFA’s U.Fund College Investing Plan – which we have recently set up for Jane! It’s a relief to have that checked off our list and know that we’re on track to save for her education. If you’re looking for some fun activities do with kids this summer, there are several other stops on the U.Fund Dreams Tour – check out the tour dates below (the next stop is this weekend at the Barnstable County Fair on the 28thand 29th)!Please note: I partnered with Fidelity and MEFA to share my perspective on family and finances for this post. All opinions, images and content are my own. Thank you for supporting brands that support this site!
