5 Under $50: Tassel Loafers

I am ready and willing for Fall to arrive — and on the top of my Fall wish list are tassel loafers. I found five fun pairs, all for under $50, plus a bonus pair from the Gap that are missing the tassels, but certainly not the style. Confession: I’ve already scooped up the pair from Target, and the polka dot version from the Gap — I probably need one of the pink versions next, right?

Tassels and twine.

After playing with pom-poms last week, I tried my hand at using the same bakers twine to make little tassels for some other present wrapping this weekend. The weather is getting a little chillier, and I’m off to an annual holiday celebration with my friends tonight, so I’m really starting to feel the Christmas spirit. Here’s hoping you’re beginning your celebrations this weekend too, cheers!

Last weekend at my sister’s graduation I gave her a tassel necklace from Madewell, a fitting gift as she and her friends all donned tassels on their caps for their commencement. Usually saved for preppy loafers, tassels are currently making a comeback in a much more modern way. They’re that little extra detail that makes simple shoes glam.
