I’ve had one of those weeks where I get home from work and all I want to do is kick off my heels, get into some cozy lounge-wear, and flick on the TV. Now, let me be clear about one thing: I’m strongly opposed to sweatpants; I take my lounge-wear seriously, crisp black yoga pants and j.crew striped sweatshirt are in my repertoire right now. Which is why my jaw-dropped reading Vogue this month and saw Sofia Coppola modeling Louis Vuitton leopard pajamas. I can confidently say that I would wear that pajama top out of the house with pride. She is clearly a lady who also takes her lounge-wear quite serious.via Vogue, November 2011
I don’t know what it is about Kelly Wearstler, it’s a constant love/hate relationship. Sometimes I love her, sometimes I hate her, and my feelings can literally change from room to room designed by her, from article to article written about her.
In the New Yorker’s style issue she came off as self absorbed and flighty (and revealed she was a Playboy model before she made it big). Then in this month’s Vogue she says nice, heartfelt things like that her “proudest decorating moment was when my sons told me how much they loved their bedrooms.”
Well… the jury is out on Ms Wearstler, but this I know for sure, I like what I see here (minus the bratty monkey children, please call Nanny911):
