Giveaway: Judy Kaufmann Print
Etsy can be a treasure trove, but finding the treasure takes lots of time and patience. I felt super lucky when Judy Kaufmann, an illustrator from Barcelona, sent me a link to her etsy shop full of colorful prints — the treasure fell in my lap! I love her bright repetitive patterns and muted portraits of icons like Audrey Hepburn and Andy Warhol.
And you can have a piece of her work in your home, because Judy is kindly giving away any A4 print from her etsy shop to one of DomestiKatedLife’s readers!
- Simply visit Judy’s Etsy shop and leave a comment below letting me know which print is your favorite.
- For an extra entry tweet about the giveaway, mention @Domestikateblog and @judykaufmann and leave a comment below.
- This giveaway will end at 5:00 PM EST on Friday, May 25th and winners will be contacted via email. Good Luck!

Jack Wills.
Killing some time before the Cynthia Rowley event on Wednesday night, I took a window-shopping stroll down Newbury St. The window at Jack Wills caught my eye — the clothes were cute, but the styling got me inside. I had one of those “how did I not know about this store?” moments as soon as I entered; it was preppy paradise. On make-up packaging, umbrellas, jewelry, bathing suits — their signature navy and pink stripe was everywhere. Including on the walls behind a stellar art gallery going up the three-story staircase in the center of the store. Let’s just say – I kind of want to move in.
After making a pink and navy striped purchase I snagged their catalog and poured over it at home. Their home goods also have that signature ivy-leaguer-look — it makes me wish I had a dorm room to decorate again!
Supersized.
Walking around my empty new apartment this weekend, I started thinking about how many oversized pieces of artwork I have, and how few options there are going to be for open wall space to hang them. Between doorways, windows, and the pitched ceilings in some of the rooms — my options are limited.
But scrolling through my handy inspiration file, I’m finding lots of great examples of oversized artwork taking up the majority of the wall — it’s like wallpapering a surface — but framed!

Getting graphic.
I just caught on to a new blog, Live Creating Yourself. I noticed its’ author Alaina and I have similar tastes, her couch had the same animal print pillows I just bought! And the graphic prints behind in her apartment are adorable. I love the simplicity and impact of stripped down line drawings (I also love her apartment).
It’s like she read my mind because just as I was about to email her and ask where she got them, she posted about opening her own Esty shop and selling her creations!

Things that are awesome about today include…
The fig and prosciutto pizza I made for dinner:
The promotion I got at work! (notice how that came second to pizza? Yea. I love food.)
And the awesome print I ordered from Design Crisis as a present to myself for kicking ass. I can’t wait to frame and hang this bad boy. Nothing says congratulations on your promotion like a giant framed horse… made of other horses.
