My friends at Christmas Tree Shops recently invited me into their store to check out some of their holiday new arrivals, and it got me SO excited for the season of holiday entertaining ahead. I found so many great entertaining staples – from chargers to glassware – that I got inspired to style a seasonal table that can transition across the holidays. The basics of the table design remain the same, but a few festive accents and changes to the centerpiece make it a versatile, multi-celebration setting. To set the base of the table I used a neutral tablecloth I found at Christmas Tree Shops with a subtle blue detail around the edge. The little hint of blue was my inspiration for tying in some blue accents across the holidays – for my thanksgiving table I had blue details in the napkins I used (which were tea towels from Christmas Tree Shops), and for my Christmas table I used blue Santa plates (one of my best scores from Christmas Tree Shops). Christmas Tree Shops is the best for finding entertaining staples – like classic white buffet napkins. I grabbed gold chargers there to elevate my everyday white plates and bring in other gold accents. The gold bow napkin rings were another fun, affordable option I found there that work across the holidays. My favorite gold detail was in a festive set of glassware I found there with an imprint saying “That’s the sprits” – a cute little nod to the holiday spirit that works for all the winter holidays! To give each setting a timely look, I brought in more design elements that fit the holiday theme. For my Thanksgiving table, I found the cutest pumpkin plates and turkey salt and pepper shakers that got added among some other natural fall elements like pumpkins and branches. For the Christmas table, I swapped in Santa plates and made my centerpiece out of pastel bottle brushes (Christmas Tree Shops is a great place to find these!) and colorful ribbon candy and candy canes. Those little details give the staple pieces a unique look, making it a double duty tablescape for the whole holiday season!
