I got a great response from this “download” style post last week and think I’m going to add them into the mix a few times a month now. It’s a great way to talk a little bit more about what’s going on in my life! Like this week, we’ve been busy starting some renovations on our house that I can’t wait to share with you. Miss Jane turned 4-Months old, knocked it out of the park at her check-up, and even started sleeping in her own crib (turns out it was way harder for me than it was for her, of course!). We’re also gearing up for a busy long-weekend packed with barbecues and get-togethers, and celebrating our 4-year wedding anniversary! Thus the peonies featured in this post — one of my favorite flowers because they remind me of our wedding day. Here’s what else is going on: I have been on a recipe binge this week! We made spicy sriracha meatball appetizers, Buffalo-BBQ turkey burgers for easy weeknight dinners, and my go-to Tomato and Blue Cheese summer salad. Plus I’ve been pumping out inspiration for summer parties and all of the red, white and blue party supplies you need for summer holidays!
We’re starting renovations this week on our master bedroom and guest bedroom, and I’m on the hunt for bedding, lamps and artwork for each room! I have my eye on this Serena and Lily bedding for the master bedroom and might scoop it up with their Memorial Day sales. For the guest bedroom I’m eyeing the Bloomsbury print bedding from Biscuit — I’ve wanted it forever!
That brief hint of super warm weather had me pulling out our summer clothes. I’m obsessed with this Oh Joy romper for Jane, and grabbed the most darling red, white and blue ice-cream print dress for her to wear this weekend. Plus I added a few new additions to my closet too, like this star-printed tank that I’ll pair with jeans and a red cardigan.
My friends at Keds shared the most darling new sneakers with me from their New England inspired collaboration with Alaina Marie. The mesh-sides and fun neon printed lining are all nods to the lobster-fishing that goes on up and down the New England coastline, so fun!
I am determined to get back on a reading kick this summer, send me your book recommendations please! The reading I’ve been doing lately has been food-based, I am loving the new Joy the Baker cookbook about brunch. We made the chocolate-brioche cinnamon buns on Mother’s Day – YUM.
