A cheeseburger or veggie burger on the grill is a favorite way to make a super quick weeknight summer dinner! I’m excited to be partnering with BUBBA burger this summer on a tasty burger recipe series, and for a final post in the series I’m going to share my favorite topping for a grilled cheeseburger or veggie burger: my burger special sauce! The special sauce works great on all of the varieties, but I love to use it on the cheeseburger to mimic the flavors of a restaurant-style smash burger. My family also loves using it on the veggie burgers, the little kick of spice in the special sauce is a perfect pairing for the veggie burger.The burgers cook in just about 10 minutes on the grill, so I get those cooking and then quickly prepare the sauce and any toppings I want to use on my burgers (often sliced avocados, and always lettuce, tomato, onion, and cheese!). To make the sauce, simply combine all of the pantry staple ingredients in a bowl and whisk them together: Ketchup, Mayo, Honey Mustard, Dijon, Sriracha, Pickle Juice and Paprika. The flavors work together to create a balanced sauce that is sweet and spiced and tangy all at the same time – a winning combination for dressing up grilled burgers and getting dinner on the table fast! Burger Special Sauce
 
Ingredients
  • ¼/ Cup Mayo
  • 3 Tbsp. Ketchup
  • 1 Tbsp. Honey Mustard
  • 1.5 Tsp. Sriracha
  • 1 Tsp. Dijon
  • 1 Tsp. Pickle Juice
  • ¼ Tsp. Paprika
Instructions
  1. Combine ketchup, mayo, honey mustard, Dijon, sriracha, pickle juice, and paprika in a bowl. Whisk to combine and chill until ready to use.
  2. Prepare your BUBBA burgers and once fully cooked, spread the special sauce on the burger buns and top with your desired toppings.
