Envelopes and Ribbons.

It’s been radio silence over here for a few days as I started my new job and have been preparing for that little event I’m planning: the wedding. We’re just two and half months away which means it’s becoming ‘go-time’ — I’ve been spending my evenings lining envelopes and neatly practicing writing out addresses. Just another week or so and those invites will be out the door (and then onto the next project!). Not that I’m complaining, playing with stationery, picking out ribbons and floral details, and writing to-do-lists happen to all fall in the category of my very favorite things.

Holiday Gift Guide: Winter White

This holiday gift guide is all about little luxuries in a crisp winter white. Don’t you just want to cozy up in that chunky anchor scarf and light one of those lovely diptyque candles?

Glitzy and Gold.

The benefit of this crazy storm? A cozy night in with my Pinterest boards. I was pinning away last night all things glitzy and gold; including that little pave bubble bracelet came home with me from my NYC trip this weekend! What did you do to distract yourself from the storm?

Scenes from the weekend.

It was a busy weekend! I had (lots) of drinks with my girlfriends at book club, caught a baseball game at Fenway, and checked off a few wedding tasks from the to-do-list! Picking up a print for our guest book table from the framer resulted in some major excitement; and addressing dozens of save-the-dates, a little less exciting but certainly productive! What did you do this weekend?

Save the Date.

Wedding planning has officially become ‘real’ — our Save The Dates have arrived from the printer! I am so lucky to have a very talented bridesmaid that custom designed our stationery suite for us. I love the black and white color scheme with just a pop of bright green that will set the tone for the rest of the wedding; and the devil is the details; we ordered monogrammed stamps to match. Can’t wait to pop them in the mail this week!

Summer Clutch.

Just a few fun clutches to share today; chevron, stripes, polka dots and anchors — they seem to be hitting all of my favorite visual themes. The two versions from Loft are under $20, such a steal you could take home two! So let’s hear it, which one is your favorite?

Clockwise from top: Lilly Pulitzer ($118), Loft ($19), J.Crew ($158), Loft ($19)

The adventure begins.

I am absolutely horrible at keeping secrets — so the biggest challenge of wedding planning so far has been keeping wedding details under wraps, both on the blog and with friends and family. I just love talking about weddings so it’s been difficult to stop myself from sharing pictures of my wedding dress with my lovely readers! But I do have on tiny detail that I’m allowing a peek at: a gorgeous print from Scouts Honor Co that we had made to put on our guest book table. When I saw a similar sketch on the Scouts Honor Co blog, I knew it was the perfect for the wedding! (And I couldn’t help but share a picture of the packaging, isn’t it adorable?)
