We have been the biggest fans of the Chicco Bravo travel system since Jane was an infant– the stroller and car seat are probably our most used baby products we’ve had since she’s been born. The brand just launched a new version of this model that has many of the same features – like the quick fold mechanism that is SO key when you’re juggling a squirmy toddler and a bag of groceries in the parking lot – but it’s smaller and lighter. Now that Jane is bigger, we were looking for something a bit more flexible to throw in the car with us for quick errands and weekend trips, so I jumped at the chance when Chicco offered for us to try these new wheels out!I love that the Mini Bravo has the features of our original full-size stroller, but is much leaner which makes carrying it a breeze. It also takes up less room in the car’s trunk – key when we’re traveling! This new version is much more convenient for mom and dad, but still a comfortable ride for Jane – win-win. We drive down to my parent’s house in NY quite a bit, and love a weekend road trip around New England; having this smaller version of the stroller is going to come in handy this summer so that there is room in the trunk for more than just baby gear (maybe some antiquing for mom, or a big cooler full of beach-picnic fixings?).  As we have been talking about the perks of having more flexibility to do fun excursions with Jane this spring and summer, I have been keeping a list of all of the ideas we have for day trips to give our Chicco Mini Bravo a spin! I thought I’d share a few of them here to get you inspired for those warmer months ahead (which hopefully happens sooner rather than later!):

All the Farms! We take Jane almost weekly to the farm near us to visit the cows, pick up milk for the week, and as it gets warmer to indulge in some freshly made ice cream.  I have a few more farms to visit on my list this spring, including a local tulip-farm for some Instagram eye-candy and any farm where I can get in my berry-picking fix!

The Zoo! Jane is an animal lover, and did really well when we took her to the aquarium earlier this year. As the weather warms up, I’m excited to take her to explore the zoo (an essential trip for our new stroller!). To make it even more exciting, the Franklin Park Zoo has a dinosaur exhibit opening around Memorial Day – Jane is dino-obsessed and will likely jump for joy when she sees them!

Road Trips! This is probably the best reason to invest in a smaller stroller – for weekend getaways where we need a bit more room in the car. I have my sight’s set on a day trip up to explore Salem, MA so we can explore the cute shops, some of the amazing kid-friendly exhibits (like a room full of pink balloons!) at the Peabody Essex Museum, and maybe a brewery or two for mom and dad! We also have a summer trip planed to Cape Cod with friends over the summer. I’m already looking forward to beach time!

Kid-Friendly Museums! Jane has just gotten to the age where I think we could attempt some kid-focused museums – like the Discovery Museum in Acton and the Boston Children’s Museum. Half of the fun of these places is getting to watch the other “big kids” – her head is always on swivel in her stroller as she takes in the excitement. It’s on my list for rainy spring and summer days ahead. We’ve got the to-do list and the stroller, now all we need is some sunshine and free weekends to explore! What’s on your spring-summer bucket list?
