Home, sweet home! I got back this weekend from an amazing vacation exploring London and parts of England. It was a wonderful trip, full of beautiful weather, tons of sightseeing, and my fair share of eating and drinking! But it’s true what they say, there is no place like home. It’s been a slow start to the week as I dig out of my inbox and ease out of the jet lag fog, but coming back to what finally feels like spring weather has helped with the adjustment. While I play catch up, I thought I’d share a few links and updates below:Carry-On Baggage. We packed very light for our trip in order to keep our luggage to carry-on sizes for the week. I decided to test out a set of packing cubes that I had read were a game changer for organized and efficient packing, and I’m completely obsessed with them now! They kept my bag tidy for traveling and what I really loved about them was how neat they kept our hotel room — I don’t think I’ll ever travel without them! I also snagged a cute new Scout tote for the plane in a blue and white nautical print – it folded flat into my suitcase and had a perfect zipper for keeping everything contained. (PS: I lived in this sweater/cardigan/jacket thing the entire trip, it’s so cozy!)

Mother’s Day Ideas. Mother’s Day is coming up this weekend, and if I’ve learned one thing from my last year of motherhood, it’s that damndo these mamas deserve to be celebrated! In preparation for doting on the moms in your life, I’m pulling a few favorites out of the archives like: a favorite floral mother’s day cocktail to mix up for mom; 10 of my all-time best brunch recipes to make for breakfast in bed; and some easy DIYs like a gardening kit, a kid-friendly wrapping paper project, and handmade clay photo stands.

Reading List.  I just finished a book from our vacation in nearly one sitting – I couldn’t put it down: How to Start a Fire by Lisa Lutz. The characters were so complicated and the timeline jumped around from year to year, narrator to narrator, to keep you on your toes. Next on my library list is a new collection of essays from one of my favorite writers – Look Alive Out There by Sloane Crosley.

On The Blog.  In case you missed it, I’ve been talking on the blog recently about: my favorite eco-friendly products, a berry-infused cocktail recipe, and easy summer entertaining tips. Plus I have a giveaway going on over on Instagram for a beautiful pair of earrings – head over and enter to win!
