I’m not exactly sure what Easter celebrations are going to look like in a few weeks, but I started to work on some table ideas before we hunkered down and felt like these cheery images were worth sharing even if the holiday ends up looking quite different this year. We could all use some happy tables full of velvet ribbons and champagne coupes filled with jelly beans, right? I got the inspiration for this table from a set of sweet floral napkins with Peter Rabbit’s image hidden in the pattern. I loved the colors of the floral print, and paired them with a soft pink block-print tablecloth and blue plaid plates (that I think I’ll be using again when patriotic summer holidays roll around). For some natural elements, I used faux-bamboo flatware and filled vases from my vintage milk glass collection with simple yellow daffodils. One of my favorite table-styling tricks is to use colorful velvet ribbon in place of napkin rings, and this coral-pink ribbon tied into feminine bows is a perfect example. To finish the simple setting, I nestled pastel toned jelly beans in paper grass inside champagne coupes. The little pop of color they add in between the fresh flowers makes me so happy (but that might be the jelly beans talking, I ate quite a few of them while setting the table!).
