Scenes from the weekend.
What a good weekend! I have been on an endless hunt for a dress for bridal shower (I decided on this neon Shoshanna dress!), picked up some peachy-pink straws to add to a gift (I really want to keep that bottle stopper for myself), and spent Sunday helping my two girlfriends with a little floral inspiration photo shoot. Looking back at the pictures on my phone from the last week, I appear to be going through a pink phase, don’t you think?
A lovely little holiday.
I’m back in action after a truly awesome couple of days celebrating Christmas. I got to see a little dusting of snow on the ground while visiting my parents in NY — which just makes the holidays feel a little more special, am I right? Vintage gifts seemed to be the theme this year, I gave my mom a vintage milk glass ice bucket with sparkly gold details for her bar, and she surprised me with an antique silver footed bowl, some shiny-brite ornaments, and teeny-tiny framed painting (the bow detail in the frame stole my heart). Hope your Christmas was just as lovely!
Wedding Day Contenders.
Finding the perfect wedding dress was a super painless and easy task for me — I was incredibly decisive and knew exactly what I was looking for. As a self-professed statement necklace junky, my hunt for the perfect wedding day jewelry has been far more of a challenge. Big chunky beaded necklaces, layers or pearls, delicate gold chains, I just can’t seem to make up my mind! These are the few of the contenders in the mix now, which one is your favorite?

Macaroon boxes.
I have an awesome little sister. I came home this week to find a surprise package from her, and inside were these adorable little ring boxes in the shape of macaroons. They are just the cutest thing, I love the tiny little bows that lock the boxes closed — keeping my ring my safe when I have to take it off to do the dishes!

5 Under $50: Natural and Neon.
I’m always on the hunt for fashionable bargains, so I’ve decided to start a new series called 5 under $50 and round-up some of my favorite finds on a budget. This combination of hot pinks and natural materials like bamboo and cork has me thinking about Spring!
Sweater ($22), Belt ($45), Bracelets ($15), Ballet flats ($49), Nail polish ($8)

Bow headbands.
The lovely Shannon posted an adorable tortoiseshell headband yesterday, and it sent me on a hunt to find one of my own. I found a whole collection by L.Erickson that are making my preppy heart thump — all that’s missing is a pair of big pearl studs to complete the look. Would you rock a big bow headband?
