The shower dress hunt.

Finding the perfect dress for my impending bridal shower is proving to be a more difficult task than finding a wedding dress! While I almost accidentally stumbled upon my dream wedding dress, I’ve been on the hunt for weeks trying to find the perfect spring-time party dress to wear to the shower. I think I tried on almost 30 dresses in a post-work shopping session on Monday night and went home empty-handed, so my next step is to some online options from this suite of coral pink dresses I ordered online. I need all the help I can get: which one gets your vote?

Sprucing.

I spent my day off tackling a list of home projects: first up was cleaning out our office closet where I was elbow-deep in holiday garlands and craft supplies. While there is nothing as satisfying as knowing exactly where every jar of glitter you own is stored, once the closet door closes there’s a little less excitement about that type of sprucing. Luckily when my Mom visited this weekend to accompany us to our wedding tasting, she brought a big bag of belated birthday presents and in it, a new grosgrain applique pillow from Target – just the kind of visible sprucing I was looking for!

Coral Capabilities.

I got a touch of a tan sitting out this weekend and my immediate reaction was to pull out the turquoise jewelry and white shirts — I have to maximize my minimal tanning capabilities with complementary hues! Turquoise is always going to be a Summer staple, but I’ve been neglecting another natural warm-weather texture: corals. They also pair perfectly with a white sundress, and I’m digging the fun textures and shapes in these pieces — isn’t that necklace fabulous? And PS: that adorable monogrammed tote bag? It’s actually a cooler — can you think of a cuter way to tote your drinks and snacks to the beach? Do you have any coral in your collection?

Cobalt and coral.

I noticed a pattern popping up in my Currently Obsessed profile, lots of cobalt and corals hues — both colors look great on their own and even better when mixed together. I snagged that blue blouse at Old Navy this weekend, and paired it with a chunky coral necklace; lots of color with a lot of impact!
