My friends at Bertolino Foods shared some of their delicious ingredients with me, and their Certified Angus Beef Shaved Ribeye was calling me to make one of my favorite sandwiches: a garlic bread steak and cheese! This melty, buttery, garlic steak and cheese sandwich is the ultimate weekend snack and works great for football snacks if you make it on a large loaf of French Bread and then slice it into handheld sized strips. read more

I have lived in New England for 20 (!) years but did you know I’m originally a New Yorker? This fact usually comes up when the topic of pizza is on the table, as it’s one of my most passionate facets of my New Yorker birthright. There’s a few pizza places near where I grew up that make these tasty little bite sized pizza rolls. They’re made from pizza dough, usually stuffed with pepperoni and cheese, and perfect for dipping in warm marinara sauce. One bite of these and I’m back home. I’ve been craving them lately and decided to make my own at home ahead of Super Bowl snack celebrations, and tested them in my air fryer for an extra speedy cooking time of just about 10 minutes. Get the recipe below, and give it a save for the big game!  read more

It’s no secret that I love a good Trader Joe’s shortcut (see my frozen gnocchi recipes!). On a recent spin around my Trader Joe’s store, I was hunting for some Super Bowl snack inspiration and got an idea to dress up their frozen mini party meatballs. They’re delicious, crowd-pleasing, bite-sized meatballs  (any mini frozen meatball will work!) and I spiced them up with a sauce that combines their Jalapeño sauce with some zesty ranch. They’re a fun alternative to the traditional buffalo chicken flavors we usually have during a Super Bowl viewing party, the jalapeño packs a spicy punch and the ranch gives it a cool balance. Just three simple ingredients that combine for a flavor-packed game day bite! Get the easy recipe below:  read more

Rice krispy treats are what I would consider my signature dessert – I’ve shared recipes over the years for my classic rice krispy treats, a pumpkin spice version, neapolitan flavors, and even a s’mores flavored treat! One of my favorites though is a chocolate rice krispy treat made with cocoa krispies (we are chocolate lovers at our house!). I pull out this recipe every year for the Big Game and make a big batch that are stamped out with a football cookie cutter and decorated with just a touch of white icing to make little football laces. They’re festive and kid-friendly (though grown-ups love them too), and best of all – quick and easy to make! read more

Spending lots of weekends at home this winter (for obvious reasons!) has gotten me on an inspired snack-kick. I love thinking up new recipes for hearty appetizers to make while watching movies or football or hanging out around the fireplace. My friends at Coleman Natural shared their No Sugar Bacon with me, and it inspired this easy snack that’s packed with flavor: crispy bacon wrapped potatoes with chives and ranch dressing. read more

Oh gosh, I’m so sorry. I know we’re all trying to eat healthy in the new year, we’re sticking to our resolutions, and I’m here with the most delicious temptations to lure you over onto the dark side. The spinach-artichoke-dip-stuffed-garlic-knot-dark side. I’m right there with you –trying to be good, exercising, eating well-balanced meals. I just can’t help it though, my brain thinks up these delicious snacks and with the Super Bowl next weekend, I had to do it! I had to throw cream cheese, spinach, artichoke hearts, mozzarella and garlic into my food processor and mix it up into a savory filling for fluffy pizza dough bites, I had to brush melted butter and garlic on top, and I had to write it all down and share with you. Scroll down to get the full (delicious) recipe below, you’ve been warned! read more

I’m excited to be partnering with Little Leaf Farms this year again on some tasty recipes – their lettuce mixes are grown locally in a greenhouse facility in Devens, Massachusetts. I kicked off the year with a post about my sustainability goals, and I love that the Little Leaf Farms brand is aligned in those efforts –from collecting rainwater to use in their greenhouses to reducing the distance our food has to travel by growing year-round here in New England. My first recipe with  Little Leaf Farms is Chicken Caesar Salad Pizza – with football playoffs and that big snack-fueled football fest at the end of the month, I’ve been thinking about some new game day bites to add to my menu. read more

Oh boy, it’s a big day at Domestikatedlife headquarters! We have two big milestones happening today — Jane started her first day of preschool this morning (queue the tears — mine, not hers!), and today is the one year anniversary of my cookbook being published! It’s sort of like both of my babies have grown up — and with most large emotional changes in my life, I’m dealing with it by turning to comfort food, ha. I was totally feeling some warm, cozy, fall-cooking this week as we kicked off the month of October and decided to experiment with a new autumnal twist on a classic chili recipe.  read more
