I have a thing for charcuterie boards. Putting together a wow-worthy display of bites for a party is just about one of my favorite things to do. So when my friends at Better Homes & Gardens asked me to help create a holiday charcuterie board with one of my favorite entertaining staples – Boursin® Cheese – I jumped at the chance! In the November issue of Better Homes & Gardens, you can see a few of my personal tips and secrets for creating an elevated charcuterie board. Among the tips is starting with impressive ingredients, like an assortment of charcuterie in different textures and flavors, colorful garnishes such as seasonal fruits, nuts and herbs, and of course, Boursin® Garlic & Fine Herbs Cheese for a creamy, crumbly, flavorful focal point.I also love to create depth in the display by using a variety of tiny bowls, shallow mason jars, or layered boards. Move the eye around the arrangement by using different textures and shapes, like fanning out the charcuterie, grouping together rustic breadsticks, and filling in open spaces with handfuls of nuts and cranberries. And for final touches, bring in elements that are a nod to the season, like aromatic sprigs of fresh rosemary.
