We’re getting close to a very important holiday: Mother’s Day! There are so many amazing moms in my life, I’m lucky to have not only a superstar mom, but also an amazing mother-in-law, two spit-fire grandmothers, and a tribe of mom-friends that I truly could not survive motherhood without. It is lovely to be celebrated as Jane’s mom – the best job in the world – and I think it’s also a perfect day to show gratitude to the larger hive of moms that surrounds our life – there are so many wonderful women that deserve to be thanked and celebrated!I was brainstorming ways to celebrate moms with my friends at Fancypants Baking Co, and came up with an ideas for a Mother’s Day dinner-in-a-basket idea for an easy way to give mom the night off and take care of everything (doing the dishes should certainly be included!). I filled the Mother’s Day gift basket with some homemade ingredients for easy assembly – fresh pasta, my go-to pasta sauce and good parmesan cheese, a bunch of kale and my favorite homemade salad dressing, and a big crusty baguette. For dessert, I filled the basket with Fancypants Baking Co’s Lemon Ginger cookies. They have a bright, crisp flavor that’s a refreshing way to end a savory meal. I like to pair them with a cup of tea or an ice-cold glass of rosé! All the Fancypants Baking Co cookies are made in a peanut and tree-nut free facility so they’re a great choice for entertaining. On top of being allergy friendly, they’re made with fresh, wholesome, mindfully sourced ingredients, and free of artificial colors and flavors – just the good stuff!Tuck in some fresh spring flowers to finish off the gift basket and wrap it up with some festive ribbon for a sweet way to celebrate the moms in your life!
