Sharing my last partner post of the year today, and it’s one I’m so grateful for! My friends at Christmas Tree Shops and I have had so much fun this year collaborating on tons of festive tablescapes and entertaining ideas. When it came time to brainstorm an idea for how to end our year of holiday celebrations, I shared with them one of my favorite traditions we started a few years ago – taking my daughter with me to Christmas Tree Shops with a wish list from local organizations and filling up our cart with toys, bedding, and wrapping supplies to help those that need some extra support during the holiday season.
Amid all the hustle and bustle of the holiday season, amid all the focus on presents and Elf antics and parties, it’s an important way to refocus, give back, and teach my daughter about gratitude and kindness. We talk about what we’re doing and why we’re doing it before we got shopping, and then I let her help me go through the wish list and fill up the cart during our shopping trip. Christmas Tree Shops is always my go-to spot for this project, because the affordable prices let us stretch the list a little farther, and it’s a one stop shop for everything on the list.
