I spent this past weekend up in Portland, Maine celebrating one of my best friend’s bachelorette weekend. We had a blast — eating lobster rolls, taking in a baseball game, soaking up the most gorgeous summer weather, and of course, enjoying some cocktails and bar hopping. I’m still recovering — apparently it takes 3-4 days to recover from bachelorette parties once you hit your thirties — here’s hoping I’m back to normal by Thursday of this week. The good thing about bachelorette parties in your thirties though is that we have quite a few of these girl’s weekend celebrations under our belt. All of that experience adds up, and makes it much easier to put together perfect activities, itineraries and party swag! I have a fool proof bachelorette party swag formula after all of these celebrations, and thought I’d share some of my favorite ideas! To start, I always pick a theme. This time around, our big activity was a baseball game (the bride threw out the first pitch!), so I pulled lots of nods to the baseball theme into the party favors. Then I build the party favors with a few categories in mind: Something to snack on (Ring Pops and Cracker Jacks!), something to wear out (matching sunglasses and pins), something custom (like can koozies with fun sayings), and something for your recovery (I found the cutest printed “hangover bags” to fill with Advil!). Everyone gets a printed itinerary for the weekend too! The bride gets all of the fun favors I pack up for the party guests, and a few more treats to make hers extra special! I love to get the bride something customized with her new name if she plans on changing it. I found some custom tote bags on Amazon for this bachelorette! We also filled her bag with some bridal swag like a bride crazy straw and funny underwear with the bachelorette weekend logo on it, and a shirt and tiara to wear out at night. It is rare that we get the opportunity to get our girlfriends together for getaways and celebrations these days, so I love putting together these little details to make it a weekend we won’t forget!
