Is there anything better than clean sheets and a freshly made bed? My friends at Serena and Lily asked me to share some of my favorite bedding pieces from their collection, they’ve been my favorite bedding resource for years! When we first finished our master bedroom I gave our bedding a big overhaul (see the original post here!) and I am continually impressed with the quality and design of their sheets, duvets and other bedding accessories.  Let’s talk a little bit about the quality! We have had our duvet and sheets and shams for over two years and after dozens and dozens of washes they still look brand new! We always have a debate in our house about sheet softness, one thing we can agree on: we love a crisp sheet. And crisp is the exact word I would use to describe these sheeting sets. They also have some of the most playful, special details – scallops on the flat sheets, tassels on the shams and quilt, and smart touches like extra panels in the pillowcases and interior ties on the duvet for easy, neat bed making! One of my favorite parts of the Serena and Lily bedding collection is that the pieces mix and match so well. I’m a big fan of pattern mixing, and I love that season after season, they add bold designs that work seamlessly with more classic pieces. We have had all of our current bedding for a few years, and because they use a consistent color palette, it’s also really easy to add in new pieces. For example, I have a French blue trimmed duvet cover and French blue patterned shams that I bought a few years ago. I wanted to give our pillowcases a refresh for summer and mixed in a French blue gingham from this year that still matches perfectly!   The pieces we have in our bedding suite are mostly still available, a few patterns and colorways have changed slightly! At the base of bedding are our scalloped sheets, the pattern we have is older but they come in a classic solid series – I love how the scallop detail looks folded over the comforter! The duvet cover is so timeless, the Soho Duvet with a French blue border stripe around the edge. My major pop of pattern and color comes from the Granada Quilt and shams in that bold blue palm print! I recently mixed in some more pattern and color with a new set of the Gingham pillowcases, they’re so soft! And to finish the bed off we have a French blue accent pillow and the coziest cotton throw in a punchy lobster-colored orange-red (it comes in lots of other colors too!). Makes me want to jump right into bed and never leave! Get all of the sources for the bedding below:
